After completing the personality self portrait, I really enjoyed doing this composition, and I am very happy with the way it turned out. I believe the strongest aspect of my composition are the effects used on my images. I used multiple tools such as colorize, layer modes, and filters to make color prominent in my piece. I used a lot of color because I did not want my collage to look plain, but rather eye catching. I believe one area of my piece that can be worked on is the techniques I use to arrange my images. Even though I did rotate, flip, adjust the size, and change the opacity of my images, I believe I could work on making my images not so obvious as to what they are.
In my opinion, the easiest part of this assignment was finding and picking out which images I wanted to use. Because the portrait was all about me, it was easy to find images that I really liked and that related to my life and personality. On the other hand, I believe the most difficult part of this assignment was adjusting my images about seventy five percent from their original form. I had a bit of a hard time changing the images to make them completely unique to me and ensuring I did not copyright. For my piece, I used many tools and materials to alter and adjust my images. The tools I used consisted of layer mask, rotation tool, image adjustments, select tool, lasso tool, paint bucket, and opacity.
I believe I successfully met the objectives of this composition by using a variety of tools while also representing myself in my portrait. I took what I have learned so far in photoshop, specifically layering tools, filters, and positioning images, to create my composition. I was able to change details in my images to make them my own and able to represent myself even more. If I had the chance to do this composition again, I do not think I would change too much. I would probably just continue to adjust and position the images even more creatively, making them unique and unlike the original versions.
